Exciting things are afoot for the AV Pro! In conjunction with the Digital Signage Expo, we’ve made our coolest video yet for my tune “Everywhere I Look Now (Digital Signage!!!). In addition to the awesome video, DSE has created a contest where viewers can upload their own version of the video and win serious cash! I’m talking $1000 for 1st place, $500 for 2nd, $250 for 3rd and $100 for 4th-10th. That’s a lot of opportunities to score some cheese while having a good time. Check out the link to the DSE Video Contest.
What’s up HiDefination?!?
Hope you’re digging my A/V EP. I had a ton of fun making it and when CEDIA 2012 rolled around, I couldn’t wait to push it on the masses. In addition, I had the pleasure of kicking it with some of the coolest folks in our industry, those dedicated men and women who competed in the #CEDIATWEEPS Twitter contest. Follow them all on Twitter because they’re knowledgeable, friendly and, quite frankly, a good time. Nick P. and I also competed in some rad A/V Installer Challenges brought to the show floor by ADI, checked out some new technology and wrapped it all up with a recap rap.
A/V For Life
It’s been a hot minute since last we spoke, but I’m back with a new video spot and more news to come. Check out the “Own the Network. Own the Home.” spot I cut for the CEDIA EXPO 2012 and stay tuned for 2 more! Also, my A/V EP will be available this Tuesday, Aug 14th on iTunes, Spotify and right here on the website for digital download and physical copies. Exciting things on the horizon folks.
It’s been too long, I know. I’ve been workin my tail off in the lab (that’s hip-hop speak for the studio). But the wait is almost over! Next month, I will be pushing my A/V EP into the market and I look forward to your feedback. For now, how’s bout you mosey over to John Sciacca’s blog and read the guest post I guest wrote for him about this year’s Bonnaroo.
A/V for Life! - HiPhi
What’s up HiDefination,
I was recently kicking it with a fellow A/V Pro who reminded me that folks check the website, so it would prolly be cool if I updated it a little more often So here’s what’s cookin my peoples. I’ve just about completed writing my EP full of A/V-Centric tunes to rock while on a jobsite,
in the office or just crusin around enjoying life. Once I get them fleshed out, I’ll go into AVWA studios and lay them down for keepsies. I’m stoked about this project and I think you guys and gals will dig it. I’m also working with a partner on a video for the song “Telepresence” that is available for free here on the site. It should be an awesome project, so keep an eye out. And finally, we’ve got another episode of the A/V Workshop we’re about to release and this one is high stakes. I’m talking LCD’s on fire! Can’t wait for everyone to see it. So thanks for the nudge Johnny B. and I’ll be talking to everyone soon.
Hey There HiDefination!
Here is a video I put together with the lyrics for my tune “Telepresence.” Prepare yourself for NPF to take over the business world this year.
What’s up HiDefination!!!
Here’s a new tune I’ve been working on with my friends at AVWA Studios here in Nashville. I’ve made it available for you to download free of charge because I love you so darn much. Any and all input is greatly appreciated and there is both an .mp3 version as well as a larger .wav version.
What’s Up HiDefination!!!
I’m pretty stoked about this episode of the A/V Workshop. It features our very first “Tool Challenge” and I’m just gonna throw this out there…it could be the best episode we’ve ever made. Nick P. is gradually warming up to the cam and it’s just a matter of time before he’s an internet TV pro. I hope you guys enjoy it – before it gets removed by YouTube for jackin the Big Pimpin instrumental.
A/V really is a way of life. We take our industry knowledge with us everywhere we go and we notice it in all of our destinations. It’s impossible to step into a bar, restaurant or classroom and not instantly critique the A/V installation, or lack thereof. Hence, it should come as no surprise that while I was enjoying my Honeymoon in Costa Rica, A/V stayed on my mind. Crazy monkeys hanging off of a person may temporarily take their mind off of our beloved industry, but not this guy. As you can see, the top monkey shares my enthusiasm for A/V; the bottom one not so much. And feel free to use with the A/V hand sign…it’s not trademarked or anything I’d love to see pics of you guys repping for our industry!
He’s got the Hand Sign down!
Even Evil Monkeys love A/V…and pulling hair
Long time no talky. I’ve had quite an end to 2011 filled with numerous life changes. I got married, got an A/V promotion and picked up a new ride. I know what you’re thinking…”What’s your “life-stuff”got to do with us not getting new vids and posts?!? We want more!!!” Well fear not my friends, I’m back all up in this We’ve got some new episodes of A/V Workshop in the can that will be released soon and I’ve got a new guest host! I think you’re all gonna love Nick P. as much as I do. I’ve also got a new tune about Telepresence that is going to shake things up in 2012. And to kick it back off, I’m doing the AVWeek Podcast hosted by Tim Albright with guests panelists Gary Kaye, Julie Jacobson and Michael Drainer to be found at http://ravepubs.com/rave2011/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=6310&Itemid=435
So stay tuned HiDefination, cause I’ve missed you.
